I accept your challenge Brittney, and I will face it like have any other challenge. With my fists, and with the only soundtrack that i have on my Ipod, Hanna. The whole movie is all by The Chemical Brothers. They are an electronic band. If you are not into techno, you might not like this (Jim). But this is my favorite, so there :p

Oh man that is a challenge Brittnee. Mostly cuz I don't have a good memory for this kind of stuff. I'm torn between Forrest Gump and O Brother Where Art Thou? Also Juno was a strong consideration for me I like that one for Kimya Dawson she's an interesting artist. Then I was reminded of movies like Almost Famous and High Fidelity which take you back to some of the best stuff in the 70's. I had to search on google real quick and I came across a movie I'd never heard of 'Singles' but it has what is probably my favorite compilation of songs for a movie, Pearl Jam, Chris Cornell, Smashing Pumpkins (one of there best in Drown), Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone, and yes even Jimi Hendrix. That being said I'm going with my heart on this one because it is treacherous ha, Forrest Gump just plays the perfect songs for each segment it introduces in the movie, and has a nice diversive soundtrack wheras O Brother is more focused on one type of music. Wish I could have found a good trailer for it, but I did find a good example of what I mean about playing great songs when introducing a new scene arriving in vietnam.

Sup nerds... I haven't posted in a bit, but I have thoroughly enjoyed checking out your suggestions and likes for the time being. There's been a large amount of male singer-songwriters/bands/duos, so I've decided to veer in a different direction, namely female. Ingrid Michaelson is one of my favorite singer-songwriters right now, namely for her clever and witty lyrics. And so I've basically been listening to this song on repeat for the past week. And while I know it's not really everyone's favorite style/genre, I hope that you'll just give it a listen and really listen to the lyrics. This is The Chain.
Also, I would like to propose that we have weekly challenges created by the blog members for the blog members...
This weeks challenge: Find the best scored movie/movie soundtrack... Feel free to even put up a movie trailer with great tracks. Then explain for a little bit, why you think those tracks fit the movie so well.

Hey music club freaks, just thought I'd throw something in here for you all to listen to. I'm actually trying to learn this on guitar with singing and everything which I rarely care to do, maybe I'll show it off if I can get it down. Pretty decent band I found when I first started coming to Wolcott called Wild Sweet Orange - Ten Dead Dogs ... pretty funny side fact after this song which is the opener on the album there are ten more songs. Crappy songs are referred to as dead dogs, they did it on purpose. I like it!

I must sincerely say this as i begin...................... I'm s...... so...... sor..... sorta kinda........ apolegtic. I 'm very excited at my introduction to this esteemed blog. As i write this, I am listening to two door cinema club. I have always found that I cannot help but smile and move excessively to this music more than most. They are from Northern Ireland, and after knowing that you can tell that there is an infectious urge to move reminisent of Irish jams of times past. I love music that makes me feel a specific emotion. Sometimes there is literally millions of things that roll around in my head at any given time to the point that its all static. If a band like this can take my head to one singular spot, I appriciate that. Many other bands do this as well. I encourage you to listen to This is the life and tell me what ya think :)

My apologies for not posting anything recently, I haven't found much or had much time to look for new stuff. The few new songs I've found that I thought were awesome on first listen had 1 swear in em each haha so there that goes. Anyways I'll post one of my favorite songs from a band I've seen 3 times in concert (Third Eye Blind). They are one of my favorite bands all time and this song has some good memories. Third Eye Blind - Wounded Also their whole first album is fantastic, pretty much every song is good.
